Devotion: Financial Strains

September 18, 2016

I am an above minimum wage earner.

During my highschool days and college days as well, I would usually ask what I would do if I'll earn 7,000 in 15 days. I mean, that's just too big and I would definitely save for the future and would never buy my hard earned money with petty things. I would give some to my Mama, save for our house.. I even have a big notebook with all my goals with a vision board!

Years gone by, and I graduated from high school, went to college and finally, I graduated.

Now, I am in my 4th company and earning big amount of money but then again, I can't save. I don't know how to save. My lifestyle swallows me whole now.

We bought house and lot, bought things I never thought I would buy, eat whatever I want, and save nothing.

This is my financial condition right now.

However, I would like to give thanks to the Lord for all the blessings He has given me and is giving me every single day.

Prayer:

Lord, thank you for giving me life. Thank you for all the blessings you are showering upon my family. Thank you for the good health. Thank You for Your love.

I am praying for my heart toward money. I am a bit stressed right now that I still can't save a portion of money for my future and I am thinking about some debts that I don't deserve.

Lord, steady my heart and focus my mind to Your heart and word.
