Devotion: Spiritual Fullness In Christ and the Miracle Morning

Thank God, I am now into making sure that I do Miracle Morning (Life SAVERS) each and everyday. Will make a separate blog post for Miracle Morning for you guys. :)

Though I may still have lapses, this Miracle Morning indeed helps people to win mornings everyday by focusing minds on our inner self. I believe that this helps people be more productive and see the day beyond the usual and routine life.

It is already 6:36 AM as of this writing and I am amazed that I am doing this right now.

If I am in my old self, I would perhaps open the internet and go straightly to Facebook and browse people's profile and then after two hours, I would feel exhausted, envious of what people are doing with their lives.

(I just opened my email and read all the emails -- which I should not have done. Distracted again!)

SPIRITUAL FULLNESS IN CHRIST

I am reading Colossians now, I started in Colossians 2:1-7 which focuses n the spiritual fullness in Christ.

Colossians 2:1-7

2 I want you to know how hard I am contending for you and for those at Laodicea, and for all who have not met me personally. 2 My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, 3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. 4 I tell you this so that no one may deceive you by fine-sounding arguments. 5 For though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is.

6 So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, 7 rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.

This passage reminds me in so many levels to always seek the heart of Jesus Christ and to always be aligned to His heart and Word.
Also, there are many Philosophical men around the globe who would argue with everything that God made. And this will all sound pleasing to the ears because how well they argue. But then again, let's be vigilant and stand up for what we believe in and take heart for God will never leave us.
Ever since, I want to be disciplined in all aspect of my life. How I hold my money, how well I spent my time, everything. And this passage helped me to understand again the true meaning of discipline and its reason.
And lastly, let's always be THANKFUL. Nowadays, I am having financial problems with my boyfriend because he hasn't found a job he wants yet. Though I understand him and fully support him, this financial problems sometimes bring me down. But then again, this passage made me realize that aside from this problem, or any problem that we may face everyday, we should always be thankful. Blessings are just everywhere! I still have my work, the people I love are healthy. Birds are chirping. We don't pay rental fee. I just need to focus my mind to things that I am thankful for. But then again, I know I have to make effort in budgeting money.

I am so happy each time I publish a blog. Whether it's for business purposes or Devotion like this. I thank God for giving us this technology and that I can write my thoughts directly to this blog.

4 Tips To Save Money from Salary

I am an above-minimum wage earner.

It's already August 3, 2016 today and I got my salary for the last 15 days last Friday. Even before Friday, my budget for the last 15 days didn't fit in my lifestyle. LOL! Not really a good 'budgetarian' here. I know I have been spending so much than my salary in the past months. Oh! years, I mean and it's alarming to say that I am just starting now to realize that I am happy-go-lucky girl in here mid 20's.

Anyway, I really want to change my lifestyle. I want to live within my means. I want to save. I want to live my life to the fullest and of course, with what's in my pocket.

But I believe I can also save while having fun and providing for my family as well.

Recently, I have been searching tips to save money from salary, best way to save money, how to save money every month and even personal finance tips! It's just a surprise to me because ever since I started working, I am not really that thinking about how to save, what to do with money and such. I know! I know it's sad that's why I am doing these right now. Sharing the small and easy tips to save money from salary.

So, these are some of the tips to save money from your salary that we are all missing out big time:

1. Pay Yourself First

Being a corporate slave is never easy. More so if you have that bigger goals of having your own businesses, work at home eventually with your dream franchises. So, pay yourself first before all those bills! But make sure to live within the means, dear.

Personally, paying yourself means treating yourself in a massage or a hair treatment and saving a portion of your salary as well.

Make sure you'll set a specific and reachable amount of money.

2. Live Less

Currently, we are surrounded by all those pa-sosyal officemates, pa-sosyal friends, and whatnot. What about being frugal in some obvious cases like bringing lunch in the office if you can make some at home? Or if you have a fridge in the office, you can bring one large bottle, buy a powdered juice and make one in the office! Yes, I learned that from one of my managers in my previous company -- even if she is earning a lot, really!

3. Make your Own Coffee

I didn't include this in item number two because this is very important for me. (I know to you too!) When I was still studying, I told myself that I will never ever buy Starbucks or any coffee worth P160 or so! That's just too much, I said to myself. However, After I graduated, I first tasted Starbucks for free in one of our meetings. I mean, we have Starbucks in every meeting! And I started to crave for the hot capuccino over and over again.

But then I realized one day that if I saved the money I used to buy for a coffee, I think I have a lot of savings now. From then on, I promised my self to buy these kid of coffees once in a while and will make sure I make my own coffee most especially during office hours or office meetings.

Try to total the amount of the coffee you bought for the past months and let's check how much you should have saved. Maybe like me, you'll also stop yourself from these. But of course, if you really Starbucks or any other coffees, and you have the means, I have nothing against it. Just my POV.

4. Watch a Movie at Home

My boyfriend and I are guilty of this. He is an avid fan of watching movies on the big screen. We would watched movies every month and sometimes, I feel a little disappointed because we could have saved that for future use instead.

If this is also your case, you may talk to your partner and convince him/her that it would be more romantic if you would watch movies at home, with your pajamas and socks on! Tell him you'll have homemade popcorns instead! I know he'll get excited too!

I saw savingspinay.blogspot.com today and instantly feel in love! I saw in her the things I wanna do and the thoughts I wanna say. I was so overwhelmed that I immediately sent a message. Not sure though if she received it. So thankful to God that He uses people to relive the passion in me for His Glory.

How Can I Focus?

I currently have this struggle of being focused. I always feel distracted in a single task, and even right at this very moment, I feel so distracted!

My mind is going to anywhere it wants while doing something, even just a simple task. After sometime, this struggle is eating me up alive. I can't even start on a single task and would end up playing Diner Dash or checking Facebook. And when I say I check Facebook, it usually takes me up to an hour to 3 hours digging anything on Facebook and when I check the time, it's almost lunch break already, missing half of the day just for Facebook.

Sorry for ranting but his blog post is for me to acknowledge that I need to focus and avoid these distractions, these addictions.

Just so happy that I have this outlet so I can just rant about me being this easily distracted woman. LOL. Woman!

So, here are some ways for me (and for you) to minimize being distracted so easily.

1. ACKNOWLEDGE

Just like I did above, we have to acknowledge that we lack focus and easily get distracted in so many things. Facebook, instagram, twitter, email, upcoming events, cellphones, calls, texts, bla bla bla. And now, we're doing this because we want to change, we want to accomplish something, and we don't want to feel like a lost sheep and grasping for change or anything.

2. KNOW THE DISTRACTIONS

Ask yourself these things, over and over again -- "What distracts you so easily?"

3. FIND WAYS TO AVOID DISTRACTIONS

Of course this doesn't mean that you are to avoid distractions right then and there! You need to research or know ways in order for you to, little by little avoid these distractions.

Maybe you need to learn the Pomodoro technique, or browse the web with tips and how tos. Yes, they will help. Or maybe you can take a trip out of town, breath, and just think about life and find that motivation to be alive again.

4. USE YOUR CALENDAR AND TO DO LIST

One thing I learn over time is in order for your mind to be organized, you need to use your calendar and to do list religiously. Sync everything so you will not forget.

With all social media sites here and there, being focused requires so much effort. What more if you are emotionally drained and hurt? Acknowledge your heart, know your thoughts, and master it. After all, you are the only one who could help you run your mind aside from God. :)
